Sports fans can fill up a restaurant, bar or any other place of interest faster than any other demographic. Just head over to a sports bar or pub on a game day and try to find a seat. These enthusiastic fans will crowd into every possible inch of space, preferring the areas immediately surrounding a television set or projection.
What's more is that this group knows how to spend. The "big game" will entice fans from either side to open up their purses and wallets as they relax and unwind. The more extreme and dedicated fans view these matchups as events that rival major holidays in terms of importance.
Stadium/Arenas
This crowd likes to attend sporting events, obviously. Therefore, targeting them with arena or stadium displays during specific events can be very effective. Be unique and stand out with your selection; your audience is devoting the majority of their attention to the game or contest at hand. Try catching them while they are waiting in line to use the restroom or near the concessions.
Aerial Advertising
Aerial messages can target any outdoor community, professional or school sporting event - mostly during daylight hours, but some vehicles can also target at night. This is a great opportunity to reach large scale crowds at collegiate and professional sporting events.
Mobile Displays
These displays can target this increasingly mobile population by targeting arenas, gymnasiums, soccer fields, etc. or anywhere else this target frequents. Allow your advertising to follow your targets.
Golf Courses
Sports enthusiasts are not always passive watchers. It is also possible to target the sports enthusiasts while they are involved with a sport. Golf is an excellent opportunity to do exactly this. The sport is inherently social and slow paced, providing an excellent platform to capture their attention without a cluttered environment.
Sports Bars
One of the best bets for getting noticed by sports fans, sports bars are often frequented even during the off season and on days when there aren't big games. These consumers can be reached through the use of restroom displays, juke boxes, video games and other restaurant displays.
Health Clubs
Fitness centers and health clubs are a great way to get this group's attention. Alternative advertising messages are delivered in a unique environment and with frequency to regular users. Consider that the vast majority of health club visitors return often as members.
